North Korean Ambassador Kang Chol declared persona non grata and asked to leave the country within 48 hours.
The Foreign Ministry sent a diplomatic note to the embassy in Jalan Datai, Bukit Damansara to let the matter.
Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman said Malaysia should be clarified that it will act firmly against any insult made to this country or any attempt to discredit him.
"Almost four days have passed after the end of the period. The apology was not accepted. The government of North Korea has not signaled that they will apologize. The North Korean ambassador was declared Persona Non Grata," said Anifah.
